Who needs a database? One of the current demonstrations of nio is constantly running on our lab page (nio/lab), as it's showing Twitter and Instagram pictures popping up every second, without the use of a database.
Connecting to the Twitter and Instagram public API's and querying for photos using words like 'puppy,' 'sunset' and 'beach' (to name a few) allows us to capture these pictures quickly! We only show one per second, but you can see on the gauges, we are capturing way more.
nio can deconstruct, filter and normalize the content in real-time WITHOUT the use of a database. Pretty rad, huh?
